The Do-It-Together Music School

Dididi, dududu, traritra, tri trä!

Music is a language that can touch and connect. It sounds and makes us sound. Are you interested in music and rhythm? Would you like to learn an instrument or can you already play one? Are you interested in getting to know exciting oriental music influences and come into a cultural music exchange?

Then Crescendo Berlin is a music project that might be for you. Together we are developing an international brass band with its own musical program. How exactly the performances and musical expression of the project might look like in the end depends largely on the ideas that have been brought along and developed in the group. In doing so, we aim to ensure that various cultural influences combine to create a sound of their own and that an independent understanding of diversity, transculturality and community can emerge. Our goal is to appear at at least two events each year.

We offer professional tuition for the following instruments:

Rhythm: marching drum (snare) and timpani

Brass: trumpet, tuba and euphonium

Our lessons focus on learning with an emphasis on wind instruments. How do you make a sound? How does a piece of metal become a sound wave? How is a melody made?

Can you already play a musical instrument? We are looking for the following instruments for our band: all of the ones mentioned above as well as trombone and xylophone.

Participation in the project is free!
