Due to the pandemic – and already for some time in the country – the vacancy rate is growing in various districts and neighbourhoods. But instead of wasteland, right now we need lively, inspiring locations to unite. We’re using the time and creating with you and our partners from HAPPY LOCALS and URBAN DIALOGUES, three young think tanks and makers workshops, the WIR!Filialen (‘WE! Branches’).
In our three branches you will find different teams, each with their own agenda (see tabs)! In networking meetings we come together again and again.
The three branches:
Haus der Statistik, Alexanderplatz: In our Bewegungsladen (‚movement store‘) in Studio C of the Haus der Statistik, a young international team explores „social movement“ with artistic experiments. Their studio is also a meeting place for young people who want to move with them, with dance, music and performances, often outside, in the urban space. Two collectives have emerged from the Bewegungsladen:
- „In Other Words“ focuses on the visual arts and regularly curates its own exhibitions.
- „Welcome Home“ is dedicated mainly to dance and dance performances.
Glashaus Prenzlau (Brandenburg): In a vacant car dealership there is plenty of space for the creation of a place of one’s own, for music, culture and party – this is where Team Prenzlau Kult meets. With them: artists, designers and theater makers from the HAPPY LOCALS initiative.

Berlin-Moabit: A store is transformed into a philosophical theater laboratory in which the boundaries of the „I“ and the „we“ are explored anew. The undertaking is artistically accompanied by the association URBAN DIALOGUES.
