“Between Waste and Atlantis”

Opening + Sci-Fi Picnic
Fri., September 12th // 4-11 p.m.
Falscher Fisch, Ziegrasstr. 1, Neukölln

Welcome to the visiting zone! Equipped with the right picnic set, visitors stroll through spaces of artistic intervention, through an enriched landscape, through moving images, noise and canned music concerts.

People with and without refugee experience are developing the film project ›Next Stop: Atlantis‹ in Studio 1 of Falscher Fisch under the direction of Matze Görig and Cyrill Lachauer—a symbol of what is lost and what is possible. The set, between reality and fiction, can be experienced as a walk-in installation. The LUZI team (Studio 2, directed by Federica Teti and Katja Schmidt, with Anna Scheibner) uses PET strapping to transform parts of the set into an oversized body landscape—woven glitches in the global supply stream.

Between dystopia and utopia, waste and possibility, between film set, sculpture and picnic blanket, a space is created for lingering, reflecting and reinventing—surprise guests guaranteed.
