Mutuogenesis

Ein Kunstprojekt von Jerszy Seymour mit der S27 – Kunst und Bildung und dem Kunstgewerbemuseum Berlin

Neue Formen des gemeinschaftlichen Lebens, Lernens und Produzierens: Zahlreiche internationale Künstler*innen, Designer*innen, Aktivist*innen und junge Menschen mit Flucht- und Migrationserfahrung wirken mit an einer lebendigen sozialen Skulptur. Mit „Mutuogenesis“ stellen wir Formen angewandter und kollaborativer Kunstpraxis in den Mittelpunkt und tragen zu einer Neubewertung der angewandten Künste bei. Über Alltagsgestaltung, Design, szenisches und musikalisches Kreieren testen wir gesellschaftliche, strukturverändernde Produktionen.

Über ein Jahr hinweg entsteht eine vielfarbige metamorphe Ausstellungslandschaft – kollaborative Baustellen, Vorträge, Happenings und Performances in der “Lucky Garage” am Stadtlabor Falscher Fisch und im Museum laden Gäste und Mitarbeitende zum Experimentieren und Teilhaben ein.

TERMINE:

Mit seinem experimentellen Ansatz für das Lernen und die persönliche sowie gesellschaftliche Veränderung ist Mutuogenesis ein wichtiger Teil der Initiative Weltschulhaus.

An art project by Jerszy Seymour together with S27 – Art and Education and Berlin’s Kunstgewerbemuseum (Museum of Decorative Arts)

New forms of communal living, learning and producing: numerous international artists, designers, activists and young people, some of which had to flee from their countries and are now part of S27’s community, are involved in creating a living social sculpture. With ‘Mutuogenesis’, we focus on forms of applied and collaborative art practice and contribute to re-evaluating the applied arts. We test social, structure-changing productions through everyday life organisation, design, scenic and musical creations.

Over the course of a year, a multi-coloured metamorphic exhibition landscape is created – collaborative construction sites, lectures, happenings and performances in the “Lucky Garage” at the urban laboratory Falscher Fisch and in the museum invite guests and co-workers to experiment and join in.

With ‘Urloquence No. 1’, we enter the first Mutuogenesis loop with a loud, collective scream – a legitimate response to the darkness that surrounds us.

The LUCKY GARAGE is our newborn baby and it will see the light of day on 16 April at 8pm with a SCREAM. You can help fill the BIG new space with extra lively NOISE!

With its experimental approach to learning and to personal and social change, Mutuogenesis is an important part of the Weltschulhaus (lit. World School House) initiative.
