Awarding of certificates

The ceremonial awarding of certificates is one of the festivities and rituals that give structure to our work, living and learning together at Schlesi. They are a time for us to pause together and review what we have already achieved and done this year. At the same time, we look ahead. For many, it is a day of farewells. For Ini, for example, who gave us a wonderful thank-you speech that left hardly a dry eye in the house. An extract from it:

“I started attending Schlesische 27b since December 2023 and if there’s any word to describe this place for me for the last 7 months, I would call it home.When I first came here, I really didn’t know what to expect, I was lost for about a week but after then I found this place more welcoming.

I know I also speak the mind of many trainees here when I say this place has given us a sense of purpose and belonging.

From random strangers of a classmate to people we would like to see every day and when they don’t show up, we wonder what could have happened to them.”

We will miss each other – all those for whom the journey continues elsewhere are always welcome to visit us!

Our ‘ARRIVO BERLIN Übungswerkstätten’ and our ‘Bildungsmanufaktur’ are entering the summer break with confidence. We are looking forward to a colourful summer programme at the Falscher Fisch in August. Just in time for the Olympics, the ‘Falsche Fisch’ will become ‘Play – O – Fish‘; let the games begin!
