Open Call for Artist-Trainee Program

Apply until March 15, 2025!

We are excited to offer a new 1-3 month stabilisation program aimed at young refugees, migrants, and other artists-at-risk in Berlin. In our program you will work, learn, and experiment alongside professional artists on group projects and have the opportunity to create and present your own work.

The program will be tailored to the needs, interests, and goals of each Artist-Trainee. Our goal is to assist you in finding your place in Berlin…whether you want to be an artist or are looking for something creative to do with your time. Above all, applicants should be…

  • Interested in participating in group creative projects or come with their own ideas
  • Looking for social support of help formalizing your legal right to stay in Germany
  • Motivated to explore education and employment opportunities in Berlin

For those who would benefit from further social assistance, we also offer daily German classes at beginner levels (A1.1-A2.2), support from a dedicated team of social workers, and lunch free of charge.

Interested!? Just send an email to bewerbung@s27.de (or send us an Instagram DM!) with a short message describing your current situation in Berlin and why you are interested in this program.

We are also happy to hear directly from parents, teachers, official caretakers, and institutions looking to further support the youth and young adults (17-27) you are working with.
