Their Majesties Philippe and Mathilde made a stopover at S27 during their visit to Berlin! It was a lively affair – ministers, journalists, TV crews and security guards accompanied the royal guests. We were also visited by the Governing Mayor, Kai Wegner, and the Senator for Education, Katharina Günther-Wünsch, along with delegations from the administrations.
Our trainees kept things calm and presented their studios and workshops to the guests, as well as their professional aspirations and future prospects and the challenges faced by refugees in their everyday lives. The Kochinsel served Afghan dumplings, LUZI showed Queen Mathilde how to “tuft” carpets, the royal couple visited our ARRIVO BERLIN wood workshop and the guys from KARUSSELL BERLIN installed almost 5 metres of LED strips in their illuminated MINICITY. In short: it flashed and blinked – a Schlesi-day with glamour.
Someone had overheard at the royal couple’s farewell ceremony that King Philippe wanted a Schlesi for Belgium too. We, for our part, will be happy to visit!

PS: A LUZI carpet has been ordered – is that enough for us to be considered a purveyor to the court?
