We are absolutely delighted to have won the Hans Sauer Preis. This year’s prize was entitled ‘Transformative Education – Learning to Shape Society’ – we found ourselves there with our WELTSCHULHAUS and the jury also thought it was a good fit!
Nazanin, Valentina, Jessy and Ahmad travelled to the award ceremony in Munich on behalf of everyone. There they exchanged ideas with other organisations and initiatives that are making similar utopias come true.
The WELTSCHULHAUS is our new educational initiative. Together with international and refugee people, we are exploring education as a social sculpture – we are creating a transcultural, open educational landscape. It’s about learning from each other – everyone can do something, everyone knows something. In this way, we strengthen each other’s backs and simply tackle social problems ourselves. Community teachers offer learning tables in native languages and we are building a global archive: What does learning and teaching look like on our planet? Everyone is welcome to join in!
Together we will continue stronger. Many thanks to the Hans Sauer Foundation!
